What’s it about?

Tess Murphy is running for Governor, but an early teenage romance may be her undoing.

What did it make me think about?

How enjoyable a good romance novel can be....

Should I read it?

This is well-written and also entirely predictable. But that is what I loved about it. Reading this book was just like eating comfort food. I must admit I came home from vacation tired and with a cold. I wanted to pick something up that was easy to read and hard to put down. This book fit the bill. Thank you, Audrey Ingram- this story was just what the doctor ordered!

A passage I marked

" 'Everyone in D.C. is trying to be someone else. Everyone at those parties '- I gestured towards the Milton house- 'is pretending that they are more important than they really are.' "
