Same As It Ever Was

I very rarely start a book and don't finish it.  It may have been my mood but I just could not get into this book.  I tried for a week and only got through 150 pages. Everyone seems to have loved it so it is obviously just me.  But I just didn't not care a bit about what was going to happen to the main character (and narrator).  I gave up!
